The following is from the Network Solutions' website. Power Play Consulting is only providing this information as a convenience. Power Play Consulting takes no responsibility for any service interruption or inability to access or download e-mail as a result of improperly configuring your e-mailbox.
Network Solutions offers POP3 access to your e-mailbox. This allows you to use a POP e-mail software package (e.g., Microsoft Outlook, Outlook Express, Eudora, etc.) to download onto your computer the e-mail messages received through your Network Solutions e-mailbox. Review the article "About POP" E-mail Access" for more information about POP e-mail.
For your convenience, Network Solutions provides the TrueSwitch wizard which will automatically set up your POP3 e-mail software package to receive your Network Solutions e-mail messages:
1. Go to: http://www.networksolutionsemailpopwizard.com/
2. When you are prompted to install and run TrueSwitch Email Configurator developed by Esaya.com Inc, click on the Yes button
3. Follow the instructions provided
You also have the option of manually configuring your POP3 e-mail software package, but as your outgoing server settings are dependent upon the software package you are using and your Internet Service Provider (ISP), we recommend that you use the True Switch wizard.
Incoming Server Settings: mail.yourdomainname (e.g., if your domain name is jimsbikes.com, the incoming server would be mail.jimsbikes.com)
Outgoing Server Settings: smtp.yourdomainname or the outgoing server setting specified by your ISP (e.g., if you use EarthLink, your outgoing server setting might be smtp.earthlink.net). You will need to contact your ISP for the specific outgoing server setting that applies to your service or you can run the TrueSwitch wizard.
Note If clicking on the TrueSwitch link above doesn't automatically take you to the TrueSwitch site, you can:
1. Open a new Web browser window (e.g., Netscape, Microsoft Internet Explorer, etc.)
2. Type http://www.networksolutionsemailpopwizard.com/ in the address line and press the enter key
3. Follow the steps above
